SBN Long Beach Referral Rewards Programs
Member Referral Program

Once you become a member (Community Organization, Business Partner or Corporate Partner), simply refer* new individuals, businesses or organizations to us.  When any five (5) join SBN Long Beach, you receive one (1) $25 gift certificate to any SBN Long Beach member business!  Nothing to buy, ever.

Whether you prefer restaurants, entertainment or any of the many professional services that are available, the choice is yours.  Once your selection is made, we will arrange for the issuance of your certificate and its delivery to you.

*Make sure to fill in the “Referred by” field in the online membership application to give and receive proper recognition.

Rules of Use –

We wholly support our member businesses.  Therefore Referral Rewards gift certificates are only available from our SBN Long Beach members for their goods or services.

If you prefer to “bank” your referral credits for later use, a maximum of 4 gift certificates ($100 total value) may be accumulated. 

Gift certificates should be treated like cash and are not replaceable once delivered.

Gift certificates are valid for a set period of time and are redeemable based upon the policy of the SBN  Long Beach member business chosen.
Community Organizations Support Program

Long Beach is a city that passionately supports its nonprofit organizations. Within the city of Long Beach and the areas served by SBN, there are over 1,500 registered nonprofits that have a significant financial impact on their communities and offer countless charitable services.  To assist these organizations, SBN Long Beach will give back 10% of collected monthly or annual dues as a donation. 

For example, a member that pays $25 per month for dues AND who indicated a local nonprofit as its referral source on the initial SBN membership application would have $2.50 sent each month as passive income to that organization. When membership dues are made in one annual payment, 10% of that payment (approximately $27.50-$44.00) is sent.

To support a local community organization, make sure to fill in the “Referred by” field in the online membership application to give and receive proper recognition.

Rules of Use –

Organization must be a recognized nonprofit with the following IRS tax exempt status (granted or application pending):
  • 501(c)(3) — Religious, Educational, Charitable, Scientific, Literary, Testing for Public Safety, to Foster National or International Amateur Sports Competition, or Prevention of Cruelty to Children or Animals Organizations
  • 501(c)(4) — Civic Leagues, Social Welfare Organizations, and Local Associations of Employees
  • 501(c)(6) — Business Leagues, Chambers of Commerce, Real Estate Boards, etc.
The supported nonprofit must be located within the following cities:

  • Long Beach
  • Signal Hill
  • Lakewood
  • Bellflower
  • Paramount
  • Seal Beach

Only one (1) referral source may be listed.  Referral donatons cannot be split between multiple organizations.

Charitable organizations are also eligible to receive the SBN Referral Rewards gift certificates for their referrals, however all Rules of Use must be followed.
